Nani Marquina studied industrial design at Escola Massana and worked as an independent textile designer before creating her own company and showroom in Barcelona in 1986. A superb colorist, Marquina creates her own vivid rugs.

Her latest series of rugs, Collection Dots, draws on basic, over-sized patterns of dots or stripes in unusual color combinations. Collection Nature—a pastiche of irregular rectangles in neutral shades—heightens one’s awareness of subtle changes in hue and saturation. Other Nani Marquina collections include:
