Thomas Paul was born and raised in New York City. He got his start in the fashion business working as an intern at DKNY in the mid-nineties after graduating from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. While working as a colorist and designer for a silk mill specializing in neck wear and scarves, Thomas Paul worked on neckwear collections for such designers as Bill Blass, Thomas Paul, and DKNY.

Now ModernRugs.com proudly introduces Thomas Paul newest creation: tufted contemporary modern wool area rugs and dhurries. Reinterpreted from Art Nouveau, 60's Pop Art, 70's Minimalism, and 18th Century Baroque styles, these rugs are gaining attention from Oprah, Vogue, Elle Decor, and many others.
